b'Prince of Peace Temple Celebrates 70 yrsof Ministryin ColoradoPrince of Peace COGIC was founded in 1952 by the late Overseer William Coburn, Sr. and his wife, Mother Christinia Coburn. Initially the church was called Saints Home COGIC, but was later re-named Prince of Peace, by Overseer Coburns youngest daughter, Martha.The Legacy of Prince of Peace is four generations strong and has continued under the leadership of four great Pastors: William Coburn, Sr.; William Coburn, Jr.; William Brent Coburn; and Tyler Coburn, Sr.During the last weekend of July 2022. Prince of Peace celebrated its 70th Church Anniversary and the 3rd Pastoral Anniversary for Pastor and First Lady Tyler Coburn, Sr.We kicked things off on Friday July 29th with a celebration service featuring our Homecoming Choir and a powerful, anointed message from our guest speaker, Bishop Elijah Hankerson, III, Prelate, Missouri Midwest Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction, General Board Member, Church of God in Christ. On Saturday, July 30th, many current and former members, family and friends, joined us at Prince of Peace for a day of fun and fellowship at our block party.
