The woman was doing it, not knowing that she was doing something wrong. The man did it knowing what he was doing. He said, “It was the man that rebelled—man rebelled; the woman was deceived. Man rebelled; the woman was deceived. Man rebelled, because it was the man that God told, and by the time God was telling the man, the woman was not even made yet. Go and read Genesis; I’m summarizing Genesis 1-4. By the time God was telling the man, the woman was not yet made. The woman was in the man at the time that God was speaking to the man. So, by the time the woman was telling it, it was a retold story, but the man that was told was standing there. Who are you going to vote for, Adam? Who will get glory in this conversation? F. The Second Adam 1. JESUS IN HELL Temporarily Satan gets the glory. Temporarily. Until another Adam was sent to us, and when that second Adam died, He went to hell. Where did He go? Colossians tells us. He went to hell, and when He got to hell, He was in hell, bound, and all the angels in hell were slapping Him. Bah! Oh! Bah! Daddy took His eyes off of Him. He knew it when He was going to hell—He screamed and said, “My Father, My Father, why have You forsaken Me?” The Bible says, “And the whole world’s sin was laid upon Him.” Paul says, “He who knew no sin was made sin.” He didn’t commit sin; He was made sin. God is love—at one point Jesus was sin. And He was there in hell. I can see Satan saying, “You see what I do for You? You see what I do for You?” And he began to name all the sicknesses, every disease, and every affliction. You look at Him, and there was nothing left. And when all the sins that could be mentioned were mentioned, every affliction that could be mentioned was mentioned, and all disgrace and pain that could be men- tioned was mentioned, and Jesus was thoroughly dealt with in hell, God said, “Enough!” The Bible says, “He spoiled principalities and powers.” 2. THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON SPOILED HELL AND THE DEVIL “Enough!” And Father called Him from heaven, “This day I have begotten You.” Hebrews tells us. Hebrews chap- ter 1. God looked at His Son in hell and decided that the price had been fully paid, and He declared, ‘This day I have begotten You. You are My Son.’” Let’s start from verse 5. “For to which of the angels did He ever say, ‘You are My Son. Today I have begot- ten You’? And again, ‘I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to Me a Son’?” It was not the day He was being baptized. You know He said, “This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well pleased.” That’s just talking about how He’s been pleasing to God before He was born, but in the book of Hebrews, He compares Him to all the angels, and He says to Him, “Today.” Paul tells us, “He spoiled principalities and pow- ers.” Revelation tells us, “He collected the keys of death and of hell.” Where did He collect it? Jude tells us that He went there. He collected it. How did He get it when Father spoke from heaven to Him. “Today I have begotten You. Hey! Hey!” To Satan and all the demons He says, “Hey!” And Jesus got up instantly healed, instantly refreshed, and He walked towards Satan and said, “Give Me the key.” The glory was beaming so power- fully—He was still in hell, and He said, “A new Owner came here. Now give Me. Give Me. For every room, every depart- ment in hell, I need the key. Give Me.” He got the master key of hell from Satan. Then He walked up to death and said, “What are you doing?” “Aaaah! I can’t even look at You— why?” The voice said, “Today I have begotten You.” And they said, “Yes, Sir. Yes, Sir. Yes, Sir.” And He collected the two keys, came out of hell, and went straight to His disciples and said, “All power—both in heaven and on earth have been given to Me. From today go and use it. No weapon formed against you shall prosper in My Name.” The first thing He said is, “You cast out devils.” Why? Because they were the last to deal with Him. Do you hear what I’m saying? “In My Name you shall—” what? Cast out devils. Why? Because He knew what He suffered by their hand when He was in hell. “Anywhere you see them, don’t spare them. Anywhere you find them, cast them out. Anywhere you see their work, destroy it. In My Name.” JESUS ... from page 10
