Jesus came over there and they said, “According to Moses we must stone her.” And Jesus said, “Any one of you who has never committed sin, cast the first stone.” And He knelt down and began to write their names and to put their sins across the names. The Bible says ‘one by one’ they left. Then only Jesus and the woman were left, and Jesus said, “Woman, where are your accusers? And the woman said, “They are gone.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you. I have the right to condemn you, but I won’t. I came to save you.” For Christ came, not to condemn the lost, but—to what? —to redeem them, to save them. Today, if you have never put your faith in Jesus for salvation for eternity, receive it now. Receive it now. The blood of Jesus washes clean—perfectly—and by grace we are saved, not by works, lest any man should boast. “Son, cheer up! Your sins are forgiven.” But Jesus said something else. He said, “Neither do I condemn you, woman. Go, you are free. Sin no more.” When we begin to lead a new life in obedience to Jesus, His presence brings mighty blessings. From now you receive the power to go and sin no more. Sin is a barrier to the blessings of God, and if we remove sin from our lives, if we come out and allow God to purify us by the Word of God, some new things hap- pen. Rise Up and Walk – Deliverance from Hypocrisy Matthew 9:3-4. “3 And behold, some of the scribes said to themselves, ‘This man is blaspheming.’ 4 But Jesus, knowing their thoughts, said, “Why do you think evil in your hearts?” Do you know that He knows everything you are thinking about? We may pretend before men, we may be hypocrites, and we may try to appear bet- ter than we are, but Jesus cannot be deceived. See, today Jesus wants to deliver you from pretense. He wants to deliver you from hypocrisy. Begin to be who you are so that Jesus may deal with you in the best way. Hypocrisy does not allow the blessings of God to come. Be simple before Him; tell Him exactly how you are and ask for help—help will come from Him. So He knows everything in our lives. He knows our hearts. Receive Your Miracle Verse 5: “For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Rise and walk’?” From that statement, if you get up right now and tell somebody, “Your sins are forgiven,” nothing happens. Nobody sees anything. But if you say to a paralytic in this church, “Rise up and walk,” and he doesn’t walk, then something is seen by everybody. If he walks, then something has happened. Then Jesus went on, verse 6-7. “’6 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins’—he then said to the paralytic— ‘Rise, pick up your bed and go home.’ 7 And he rose and went home.” Hallelujah. Rise, take up your bed, and go home. And he arose, took up his bed, and went home, and all were amazed, including those who were criticiz- ing Him. Friend, are you living today with a disease? Is your body carrying a message to you that something is wrong somewhere? Are you having pain somewhere? In your head? In your neck? In your lungs? In your arms? In your stomach? In your liver? In your kid- neys? At the backbone? In your reproductive organs? In your legs? In your feet? In your blood system? In your heart? Are you having palpitations? Arthritis? High blood pressure? Undue bleeding? Nervous breakdown? Depression? What is it? Are you suffering from cancer? Are there some tumors in your body? Jesus is saying something to you. “Son, daughter, your sins are forgiven. Cheer up! Cheer up! Rise up! Take up your mat and go.” If the Son of God sets you free, you are free indeed. The Name of Jesus is over every disease— every ailment in life. We have seen one example here: a para- lyzed person getting up. Jesus has not changed; it is we who have changed. Our faith in Him is dwindling in these days. We are trusting in tablets more than in the Name of the Lord. It is time to go back to Jesus, the Maker of the body. He is the only One who can repair it best. Give this body to Him. Acknowledge him every day. Sing songs unto Him and say, “You are my Healer. You are my Deliverer. You are my Strength.” Thinking in Faith And let me tell you, as a man thinks, so shall that person be. Whatever you think of Jesus will happen to you by faith. Faith comes by hearing and hearing, the Word of God. We are speaking facts; we are not speaking fables. Jesus is the Healer. Jesus is the Maker of your body. Entrust that body to Him right now and see a miracle. See, the man rose up and went his way. In this same chapter, from verse 12, the Lord Jesus said it. He said: Those who are well have no need of a physi- cian, but those who are sick. Are you sick? Then you need the Physician. Jesus is that Physician. Receive Him as your Healer. Receive Him not only as your Forgiver and your Savior, receive Him also as your healer. It will go well for you to do so. Take Heart Verse 19. “19 And Jesus rose and followed him, with his disciples.” You know what has happened so far in the inter- mittent verses? A man came to Jesus and said that his daughter was dying. Some people came to Jarius and said, “Don’t worry yourself; the child is dead.” But Jesus said, “Let’s go. We are going to the house.” Touching His Garment As they were going, something else happened. Verse 20-21. “20 And behold, a woman who had suffered from a discharge of blood for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his garment, 21 for she said to herself, ‘If I only touch his garment, I will be made well.’” If I can only touch the fringe of His garments, I shall be made well. What a wonderful type of theol- ogy. That woman had insight, spiritual insight. That woman knew that Jesus was a holy man, the Holy God, and that anything that was on His body was charged with glory—charged with life. She didn’t need to touch the body, she only needed to touch something that was on the body, and a miracle would happen. Today, touch Him. Touch the garment of the Lord Jesus. Virtue will come out of Him and bless you. By faith touch Him. I know miracles are happening right now because some people believe the Word of God, and that faith in the Word of God is what brings your deliverance and your healing. Take Heart Verse 22. “Jesus turned, and seeing her he said, ‘Take heart, daughter; your faith has made you well.’ And instantly the woman was made well.” Have you been discouraged about the things happening to you? Not only is He here say- ing, “Cheer up!” but He’s here saying, “Take heart. Take heart. Be courageous. I am with you. I will never leave you nor forsake you. I will finish the work I have started in you.” Sometimes our healing is gradual, but it is sure. Sometimes it is instant. Both ways it is the Lord who is healing you. Receive your healing today. Receive your wholeness today. Receive your healing. Become whole. Christ has not changed. Receive Resurrection - Faith in Something More Verse 23-24. “23 And when Jesus came to the rul- er's house and saw the flute players and the crowd making a commotion, 24 he said, ‘Go away, for the girl is not dead but sleeping.’ And they laughed Him to scorn.” People without faith will laugh at you, but if you stick to faith in Christ Jesus, a miracle will happen. They believed the girl was dead, but Jesus, who is what? The Resurrection and the Life said, “No, she is sleeping.” Physical death means nothing to Jesus. It’s just a sleep, because one day even when you die fifty years before Jesus will come, He will raise you again. For Jesus, physical death is sleep, and if it’s counted as sleep, then your sickness is nothing. Your sickness is not bigger than death. If He raised Lazarus from the dead, then He will also heal your diseases. But the man who took Jesus to his house was a man of faith. He believed that Jesus could do anything. I am dwelling on that faith. That woman had faith in the issue of blood. The man had faith and took Jesus to his house although there was news that the girl had passed away. When they went there, there was evidence that the girl had died: people were mourning and crying, blowing flutes and singing mourning songs. But Jesus said the contrary. When conditions around you from the hospital say, you will only live for two weeks, then you trust in Jesus. Put your faith in Jesus, and something unique will happen. There are people who have been sentenced by doctors to die in one month, and yet they have lived another twenty years. Putting the Crowd Outside Verse 25. “But when the crowd had been put out- side, He (Jesus) went in and took her by the hand, and the girl arose.” When the crowd had been put outside. You are going to put outside of you all the voices coming to you, that your condition has no remedy. Did you hear me? You are not going to listen to negative things about you; you are going to listen to what Christ says about you. What does the Word of God say? And you stick to the Word of God. That is look- ing into the glass. Then you will be raised from one level of glory unto another, into the very image of the Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus was never sick. Never sick. Ade Ajala By Rev.
