I can hardly believe it. Time has gone so fast. God has truly carried me this whole time. In this grief journey,Godhasnotabandonedmenorforgotten me. I get little notes of encouragement almost every day from family, friends, neighbors, and patients from whereIwork.Theoutpouringoflove, compassion, andsympathythislastyearwasoverwhelmingand welcomed. I could not have done this without Jesus by my side. I dont know how a person can make it through something like this without God. They must be an empty shell. I remember the good times we all had at our In-Home Fellowship. Meeting in your home as well as ours! I miss those times.I now attend a church in Aurora. Last February, we were asked to come and visit a church from a fellow minister in the prison. He said just come visit Michael & Chris. There is potential for ministry there. You know how particular Michael was about where he fellowships. We visited Gateway Christian Church on Mississippi and Elkhart. He said he really liked this place and asked if we could come again the next week. So we did. Again, Michael said that he really liked this place and stated thathefeltlikewecouldfitrightin.Hewasreally excited about this church and about possible ministry opportunities.Thenextweek,hepassed.Ifeltlike Michael had given me his stamp of approval that this is where I was supposed to be. We had not attended anychurchregularlysinceCOVID-19.Thathadbeen two years. I became a member there, and they have asked me to be a part of their Praise Team. I told them that I was very humbled and in need of a revival and refreshing in my heart. I am broken right now and need time. They understood but still wanted me to sing with them. They have taken me under their wings and have prayed for me and with me and over me. God is restoring my life in a way I never imagined. Psalm 23 comes to mind to describe what Hes doing! I think my time in the prisons and jail has come to an end. But we are praying about going into a nearby retirement community for ministry. Conducting possible church services, and one-on-one meetings. Ministering to those who never get visitors, the forgotten.Written by Christine Saddoris-Forti 13 BOCNEWS.COM'
