7 APRIL 2018 BODY OF CHRIST NEWS Often, we hear about faith: how small it can be, that just having it can change things, so on and so forth. Well, for me I can say that being obedient and listening to the word of God and following him when he speaks, because he does speak, that’s my definition of faith. Kingdom Connection Christian Center (KCCC) is where my family and I worship. We were having a revival service night (Power Encounter) and my car had a flat tire. I was searching and searching for someone to give me a ride to service that night. I could hear these two voices in my head, one saying, “don’t stop until you get a ride” and another saying, “stay home, you are tired!” I wanted to go so badly because I just wanted to get away. My head was so full of the stresses of everyday life and I just wanted to get away. I eventually got a ride from a church sister, upon my arrival I felt scared and tense for the first time. Service was going on and the Pastor was awesome. You could feel the presence of the Holy Spirit in the atmosphere. I later noticed that Pastor Dr. Ade wasn’t the same. I cannot explain it clearly, but he was just calling out people and healing was taking place and the service wasn’t ordinary anymore. I felt very scared because I know the anointing that is on Pastor Ade. In that moment I thought I heard my name but wasn’t sure, again I heard “Janice!” I quickly went to the alter where Dr. Ade was standing not knowing what to expect. I heard “dance” and I didn’t catch on right away, so he repeats again “dance” in a different tone. Of course, I start dancing now. At that time, I felt as if I was getting lighter and lighter. My body felt as if I was shedding something and I realized that I could barely stand on my feet. I heard Dr. Ade tell someone “leave her alone” at the time, what was happening was making me feel free. I can honestly say that whatever was going on in my life and in the life of my family, Pastor Ade was interceding with God on our behalf. My family will never be the same. I enrolled in college, my family owns our first home through the prophecy of Dr. Ade. Glory be to God! The word of God says, “come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest” (Matt 11:28). Come willing to receive the word of God and you will find comfort here at KCCC ministry, our home where champions are raised. A prolific writer of sermons, Dr. Peters wrote the book, “When You are in a Strait-Jacket” Sermons from the bible book of Job, which was pub- lished in 2012 and is available through Amazon and Trafford Publication. Today, Dr. Peters is grateful for the respect and admiration of count- less peers, colleagues, mentees, sons and daughters in the ministry, and many related new opportunities. His late wife Mrs. Lorene Lewis Peters passed in June 2016. He still trav- els to preach across the country in what could be called a “victory lap” in celebration of his outstanding life in the ministry. In recent years he has slowed him down a little, yet he continues to preach profoundly pro- lific sermons based on his conviction to God’s call and Word complemented by very strong academic prepara- tion. Most of his sermons include three points and verses of appropri- ate scared or secular music. Two of his favorite songs are, “He knows just how much we can bear,” and “Jesus is the best thing that ever happened to me!” For now, and until that distant day when God shall speak, we say,” Well done, good and faithful servant, preacher and person.
