She was born to he late Prentice and Earnestine Walker on the 19th Of October in the year 1941 in Texarkana, Texas. In 1942, Prentice moved the family to Colorado Springs, CO where Prentice and Earnestine raised their family until their death. Elizabeth was a 1959 graduate of William J. Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, CO. On March 11, 1962, Elizabeth united in mat- rimony with the late Master Sergeant (MSG) Shelton Lee King then spent the next 50 years together as a loving couple living in multiple locations around the world, as a US Army spouse. From this union two sons were born: Anthony Lee King and Raymond Marvin King. She believed in fam- ily first but had a very strong work ethic that allowed her the ability to perfectly balance the love of her family with the love of having a career as an Accounting Clerk. Elizabeth retired from the Colorado Springs, Utility Department. Elizabeth was baptized at an early age at Friendship Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she became a member then faithfully served as a member of several choirs, as a director of several choirs, as a member of the Usher Ministry, as a member of the Senior Mission Ministry and as a Deaconess until her departure Ann's eulogy was well done by her Pastor Kevin Anderson of Friendship Baptist Church. Elizabeth, better known as “Ann” was loved and admired by everyone that made contact with her. Besides her two sons Anthony “Tony” King of Alexandria, LA and Raymond “Marv” King” (wife Witne) Fishkill, NY, She leave behind three brothers: Otis Walker, Earnest Walker and Kevin Walker all of Colorado Springs, CO. Seven sisters: Virginia Stanley of Los Angeles, CA, Kathy Wilson, Alice Gibson and Dorothy Lee, Carol Quick all of Colorado Springs, CO., Fannie “Deloris” Bond of Denver, CO, Gwen Broom of Puyallup, WA. Six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and she leaves a host of aunts, nieces, neph- ews, cousins, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and a multitude of friends. She was preced- ed death by three brothers: Prentice Walker Jr., Chalmer Walker and Les Walker all of Colorado Springs, CO. Ann will be missed but never forgotten.
