Bishop Johnson Steps Down, Elevates Elder Robinson
Bishop Frank E. Johnson and his wife First Lady Thelma Johnson are graciously passing the baton to their son and daughter in the gospel at Antioch COGIC.
When Elder Arthur E. Robinson was appointed as the Assistant Pastor, he and his wife knew if something were to happen to Bishop Johnson, they would function as interim leaders until a permanent appointment was made.
On Monday, July 26, 2010 at a special business meeting the announcement was made by Bishop Johnson that he and First Lady Johnson were stepping aside and elevating their son and daughter (Elder Arthur E. & Bettie J. Robinson) in ministry.
Elder Robinson a native of Denver, Colorado states, “I am uniquely blessed. I have been connected to the Johnsons since I was about 4 years old. The Johnsons have been both a major influence and force in my life. Serving with and under their leadership has been a great blessing and now I have the unusual privilege of receiving the baton from the founder and first runner of this race while he is alive and yet able to run as he demonstrated on Thursday night, August 12, 2010 in our 89th Annual Holy Convocation of the Churches Of God In Christ.
“We the Antioch Family shall continue this great legacy and request the prayers of the body of Christ. We must work the works of Him that has sent us, night is coming.”
