Unfortunately, many believers don't understand the power that is in that blood. We are like people who have an AK-47 in the house, and yet a robber came with an ordinary knife and was stealing our proper- ties. You have the power. And I'm going to show you the reason many believ- ers are not moving forward is not because the power is not there, it is because our hearts are hard. And it takes the sprinkling of blood on our hearts for our hearts to soften. Let me show you. 1 Peter 1:2, “God the Father knew you, and chose you long ago. And His Holy Spirit has made you holy. As a result, you have obeyed Him and have been cleansed by the blood of Jesus.” The New Living Bible says, "Dear friends, God the Father chose you long ago; knew you would become his children. And the Holy Spirit has been at work in your heart, cleansing you with the blood of Jesus and making you to please him." Did you see that? Until your heart is cleansed with the blood of Jesus, you can- not please Him. There are many instruments in our hand that can scare the Devil away. There are only three instru- ments that you can use to overcome Satan. Every other instrument scares the Devil away for a while. For how long? But to overcome Satan, there are three instruments. Now, this year I don't just want to scare the Devil away; I want to overcome him permanently. What do you want? To scare him away? Or to overcome him? You see, there are some people who don’t even try to fight you because they know that trying to fight you is already a death sentence for them. Because they know you are stronger than them. You know what I am talking about? You see, that is why when you see a little animal, tiny little thing, and it sees you, it runs away. But if that tiny little animal sees something else it is bigger than, it would dominate that thing. Let me show you the three instruments that you can use to overcome Satan, anytime, any day, and three ways you can encounter the blood. Revelation 12:11, "And war broke out in heaven. Michael and his angels fought with the dragon, and the dragon and his angels fought. But they did not prevail." If they did not prevail then, they will not prevail now, in the mighty name of Jesus. "Nor, was a place found for them in heaven any longer". The Bible says that there is no place for the Devil, for Satan, and his angels in heaven any longer, and if my house is the embassy of God, there is no place for the enemy in my house any longer. There will be no place found for them in your life in the name of Jesus. I want you to pay particular attention to the word 'any longer'. ‘Any longer’ means 'times up'. ‘You have outspent your welcome.’ The Bible says they did not prevail. There was no place for them in heaven. Jesus says, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” If there is no place for Satan in heaven, there is no place for him in my life. Now, you have to make sure that there is no place, because he is going to find a place. You give him a foothold, and he will bring a stronghold. Without a foothold there can't be a stronghold. There's no place found for him any longer. Let’s look at the three instru- ments to kick the devil out. Now the other ones scare him away; he will go for a while, but he will come back. But if you want to overcome him permanently, there are only three instruments that God has given to you. 1. The Blood of the Lamb Why do you need it? There's an accuser out there. He said, "Now, for the accuser of our brethren, who accuses them before our God, day and night, has been cast down." The Devil has been cast down. Look at the next verse, verse 11, and this is where we are camping around, "and they overcame the Devil." Him, the Devil. By what? By the blood. So what is the first instrument? The blood of the Lamb. Let me now show you three ways to encounter the blood of Jesus: A. Drinking There are three major ways by which you can encounter the blood of Jesus. The first is by drink- ing, and that is through communion. You eat the bread and drink the wine of the blood of Jesus. Jesus said, "This is My blood." In Matthew 26:27- 28, He took the cup and gave thanks and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you, for this is My blood." "This is My blood; drink from it all of you! For this is My blood of the new covenant." B. Pleading Another way you encounter the blood is by plead- ing the blood. You plead the blood of Jesus. In other words, by declaring the scripture; the victory that was given and delivered to you through the blood of Jesus. That's how you plead the blood. You plead the blood by declaring the scripture verses of victory wrought to you through the blood of Jesus. C. Sprinkling And number 3, by sprinkling the blood. You know, in the Church today, and when I say the Church, I mean the Church universal, we are so good at drink- ing the blood, and we are even good in pleading the blood, but we have abandoned the sprinkling of the blood. In fact, some people will say, "It's a weird Old Testament thing." Don't believe them, that's how their knowledge of the Bible can carry them. So He said, "That's the blood for you." So you drink the blood, you plead the blood, and you sprinkle the blood; we don't talk about sprinkling of the blood anymore. And it's very important. The blood of sprin- kling is not just an Old Testament formula; it is a mystery of the New Testament Church. Let’s look at the other two instruments to kick the devil out: 2. The Word of Our Testimony Now, many people don't know the word of their tes- timony. It's more than just, "Eh, I had stomachache yesterday, now that stomach- ache is gone." We thank God for that. That's the word. But some- thing caused that testimony. You are sharing the fruit with- out showing us the root. The word of your testimony is when you begin to say what the Word says concerning the power of the blood of Jesus. That is the word of your testimony. When you begin to confess what the Word of God says about the power of the blood of Jesus and its effect over you, that's your testimony. 3. Not Loving Our Lives to the Death Now look at the third thing they did. In order to keep their testimony, they did not love their lives. To death. These are selfless, fully committed peo- ple. These are not those that visit church only on Sunday, and only then do they remember God. These are people that have abandoned their lives to Christ. They are the ones. Because somebody said, "Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world; greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world"...If God is greater, why have you been beaten down? Because it is not abracadabra. There are things you must do for the Word to work. Are you hearing me? Someone said, “This is not working.” It always works if you work it. The Word always works if you work it. Judas did not work the Word—it did not work for him. Alexander the coppersmith did not work the Word. Demas, after he had preached, forgetting to work the Word, the Word did not work for him—he became a castaway. They did not love their lives. They did not love their ego. They didn't love their reputation. Paul said in Galatians 2:20, "I have been crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live. Yet not I, but Christ lives in me. And the life that I now live, I live by faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." I am crucified with Christ. It is no longer me. Those are the people that overcame; it is not everybody. They did not love their lives to death. You know it is like most of the time we quote, “Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world.” But if we look at that statement well, let's look at what is in you. If rebellion is in you, you are saying, "Greater is rebellion that is in me, than even the one that is in the world". Which means you are worse than the world. Because you cannot just say, "Greater is He that is in me". What is in you? Whatever is in you, you are saying is greater than the world. If it is not God, you are saying, "Lord, I confess that I am worse than the people on the street." And God says, "I know, but I am not the one in you." If drugs are already in you, you are saying all the drugs of Colorado and marijuana are nothing com- pared to the one in you. That's what you are saying. But if Jesus is in you, then you can comfortably say, “The One that is in me—haha!—is greater than every other thing that is in the world." Now watch this, "They overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony." The word of our testimony is when we testify personally to what the Word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us. When you testify personally to what the Word of God says the blood of Jesus does for us, that's the word of your testimony. Let the Word of God open your eyes this month that you will dwell in the secret place, and that you will speak and heaven will back it up in the mighty name of Jesus. Ade Ajala By Rev. Dr. Ade Ajala SCRIPTURE I want you to pay particular attention to the word 'any longer'. ‘Any longer’ means 'times up'. ‘You have outspent your welcome.’ The Bible says they did not prevail.
