17MAY 2016BODY OF CHRIST NEWS Rev. Bruce W. Kinchens is the third of five children born to the union of the late Mr. Henry Lee Kinchens and Mrs. Merdie Delois Kinchens. He is married to Gwendolyn Taylor Kinchens also of Miami Florida. They have five children Racquel Lamond Anna Henry and Jordan ten grand- children and one great grandchild. Rev. Kinchens is a graduate of Florida Memorial College where he received his Bachelors of Science Degree in Clinical and Community Psychology and minored in Religious studies. A servant of the church the people of God and the community define the work Pastor Kinchens has exhibited in the Colorado Springs community the state of Colorado and throughout our Nation. For the past 21 years Pastor Kinchens has been blessed to not only Pastor New Resurrection Missionary Baptist Church but he has served as Vice Moderator and Moderator President of the Congress of Christian Education for the Southern District Association of Colorado SpringsPueblo. Pastor Kinchens also served in several capaci- ties in the Western States Baptist Convention ColoradoWyoming from 5th Vice President to President. According to Pastor Kinchens one of his greatest blessings has been to preach Gods word on three continents including Africa Europe and North America. Pastor Bruce W. Kinchens of New Resurrection Missionary Baptist in Colorado Springs CO is moving on. He will preach his last sermon to his loving congregation on the June 5 2016. He and his family will be relo- cating to Apopka Florida. A retirement banquet will be held on May 21 2016 at the Hotel Elegante 2886 S. Circle Drive Colorado Springs CO. The the last two paragraphs which included the surviving love ones especial- ly his current wife Prophetess Dorothy Billingsley were left out. This is the rerun of the complete obituary. Wilbur Theodore Billingsley died peacefully in Denver Colorado on March 11th 2016 at 540pm at home. He was the age of 83. Wilbur begin his earthly journey on August 25 1932 in Omaha Nebraska born to Wayman and Daisy Billingsley. He was one of seven siblings and started play- ing piano before he started elementary school. He loved playing music and could play most any instrument. While on his paper route as a young boy customers would regularly ask him to come in and play piano. Wilburs mother Daisy would often be upset when he didnt return home after com- pleting his paper route. Wilbur left home at an early with just his clothes on his back. He trav- eled and lived in Chicago Milwaukee Salt Lake City and Cleveland. He made his living as a professional musician enjoying playing piano in all those cities mention. He loved to travel and to make others happy with his music. Wilbur married Betty J. Billingsley in Omaha and they were blessed with ten children five boys and five girls. He later worked at the hospital with his brother Big Jim then moved to Denver in 1954. At that time he established a five piece band in Denver called Wee Willie The Richmonds. He was proud they could play all the newest jukebox hits. He often said they practiced six hours each day to make sure the music was exactly like to original. Soon after Wilbur relocated to Denver he became a born again Christian. He loved the Lord with all of his heart. He taught his children how to pray and encouraged them to always live a life pleasing to God. He was devoted to early morning prayer and inspired to begin his ministry. Deliverance Revival Crusades where he traveled the United States preach- ing the gospel. He received an honor- ary doctorate degree at Aspen Bible College. His focus was to witness and to share the love of Christ. Ordained as a Prophet he spoke hope healing and salvation into the lives of many people around the world. Wibur loved dressing up and always looking nice. He loved his family and had a great sense of humor. Wilbur was fond of giving personalized nick-names to all of his kids some of which are still carried today. Wilbur was preceded in death by his firsst wife Betty J. Billingsley his parents Daissy and Wayman Billingsley his sisters Joyce Moore and Marcia Newson and brother Russel Billingley. On April 15th 1999 he married Prophetess Dorothy Billingsley. Wilbur and Dorothy continued on strong in their work for God. They begin the foundation of Deliverance Fivefold Ministries The emphasis of the ministry was on prophecy men- toring young ministers and ordina- tion. They held regular church servic- es throughout Denver Colorado out of state and at their home. Wilburs health began to decline but with the help of his wife Dorothy it didnt stop him from sharing his faith. No matter what and where he was he always made sure to share the love of God. During his most recent hospital stay he demonstrated his love of God and family by individually sharing and praying with his wife and all of his children great grand kids and great great grand kids. He is survived by his wife Prophetess Dorothy A Billingsley his children Arthur Billingsley William Billingsley Clifford Billingsley Eileen Herrera Arthene Baskin Michelle Russell Tammy Harris Jon Billingsley Tracy Herrera and Wilbur Jr. Billingsley his extended children Maurice Hoskins Michael Hoskins Melvin Miles Sonia Hoskins-Krause his sister Mary V White his brother James Billingsley and a host of grandchildren great grandchildren and other family. He will always be remembered as a won- derful husband father and spiritual leader. I miss him Lord but thank you for sending me the dream to let me know that he has a new healed body and for the conversation he and I had in my dream. Lord you were so faithful to him and me and still are. There are not enough words to express my gratitude. Thank you for placing him in my life and allowing us to be as one to do your works in ministry. Thank you for the love and holiness you have manifested in our lives together. Thank you for allowing your works in him to be completed and reflecting your light in him to so many to those he knew and those he met for the first time.
