Thousands upon thousands of angles will encircle the Throne as the King of Kings and Lord of Lords stands up to face the millions. What will be the FIRST thing that He does, and what will He say (Matt 25:31-46)? The one thing that He will "NOT DO" is to have a recognition party, giving a round of applause and a standing ovation for the well know politicians, lead- ers, artists, pastors, inventors and athletes for their great achievements and accomplish- ments throughout the ages. The very FIRST thing that the King will do is to separate those who KNOW Him, from those who DON'T. He will put His sheep on His right and the goats on His left. Then the King will say to those on His right, "Come, you who are blessed by My Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world." As the multitudes settle down and the atmosphere becomes silent, the King of the Universe will then say to those who TRULY LOVE Him, "For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited Me in, I needed clothes and you clothed Me, I was sick and you looked after Me, (and) I was in PRISON you came to visit Me." Then, in the back ground, over on the left side of Jesus, you will most likely start to hear some crowd commotion and even some grumbling from many who were expecting to be seated on the front row. They will say, "Lord Lord, did we not prophesy in Your Name, and in Your Name drive out demons and perform many miracles?" Others will say, "Lord, what about me? I built a big church and packed out the crowds all in Your Name! I preach right out of the Holy Bible every Sunday morning and everyone seemed to be blessed!" Another will say, "Lord, I thought that I was one of the chosen one's?" And many others will say, "Lord, there must be some kind of mistake, did we not pray to the Virgin Mary and go to the confession booth an Saturday's? Are you sure we are on the side that we are supposed to be on?" And other's will say. "Lord, wasn't I a good person and didn't I do many great things to help the people, all in your name?" "Did I not go to church every Sunday?" But Jesus will tell them all, "away from me, for I never knew you." Yes, it will be a little confusing to many as they see Jesus reach out to embrace the poor, the brokenhearted and those who were in PRISON instead of those who were rich and famous. The Lord is the same yesturday, today and forever. These are the words that He is speaking to those who are remaining faithful. "Remember those earlier days after you have received the light, when you stood your ground in a great contest in the face of suffer- ing. Sometimes you were publicly exposed to insult and persecuted, at other times you stood side by side with those who were so treated. You sympathized and you suffered along with those in PRISON, and Harvest Fields are Plenty, Laborers are Few By Michael Forti Continued on Page 13 If Jesus were here today, what would He do? Would He walk into most churches, turn over the tables, pull out His whip and chase out those who are turning the church building into a bank? END TIMES
