He tells us to delight ourselves in the Lord and He will give us the desires of our heart. When we put God first, He has a way of working out every issue in our lives. We all know that this world is in a big mess. Every day we are bombarded with mes- sages of fear, sickness and even financial destruction. Crime is growing worse and worse. We face things today that no generation has ever faced. We are truly living in the last days. Everything around us tries to steal our joy. We live in a day where we are afraid of losing jobs and relationships. The family unit is being threatened and racism is out of control. Loneliness and isolation are a big problem today. Marriage doesn't always solve the loneliness problem. In fact, if you do not have prop- er communication and love with your spouse, you may be living a very lonely life. Now that you love the Lord, God wants you to cast all those things on Him that would cause you to worry. He wants you to take off all those things that are weigh- ing you down. Cast all your cares on Him because He continue reading on PA G E 1 3 Full of Pride What is pride? Pride is an attitude that allows us a high opinion of our abilities or ourselves. Pride is the belief that we are somehow above other peo- ple. As the Bible say, “Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall” (Pr. 16:18) Pride is the opposite of humility. Humility is our awareness of who we are as we focus on ourselves. How many of us recognize, regardless of our self-image, that pride can prevent our progress and success in life?
