4 BOCNEWS.com JUNE 2017 7th-Day Adventists Temperance The Central States Conference of 7th-Day Adventists held their annual Temperance Run-offs to encourage and promote good health via N.E.W.S.T.A.R.T. principles (Nutrition, Exercise, Water, Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest, and Trust in God). In addition to promoting good health, the Temperance Local Church Run-off for 2017 seeks to promote healthy living respecting our bodies, minds and time management as it relates to activities we choose. All participants in grades 1 thru college conducted their own research and prepare material that is age and grade appropriate. The Temperance Run-offs took place on April 22, 2017. Three Colorado Churches were a part of this year’s program New Community SDA Church, Park Hill SDA Church both of Denver & Palace of Peace SDA from Colorado Springs, CO Jacquelyn Pullman, Temperance Coordinator for Central States Conference is located in Denver and she stated how honored she was to work with a group of courageous GOD fearing young people that will be our leaders of tomorrow. The youngsters that place 1st will continue to the Central States Conference in Kanas City, KS.
